An early 17th Century German engraved gilt brass striking tabernacle style clock. The winged figure standing upon gilt overhanging foliate cover upon the bell, four-sides with engraved scrolls and foliage, Roman numerated chapter ring with 24 hour inner dial (lacking hands), alarm dial to opposite side. Steel framed movement with twin chain fusees, steel wheel work. No visible maker's name or marks. 18cm high, base diameter 9cm.

Single hand missing from front. Lacking chain for time fusee and no pallets for crown wheel. Escapement appears incomplete. Unlikely to be 8 day wind - suggest less.
