A rare Rolex Submariner diver's wristwatch, model reference 5513, serial no 997460 (manufactured in 1963) with caliber 1530 automatic movement. Stainless Steel case with Oyster triple lock screw down crown. Black dial with underline mark beneath text (the underline mark was used to signify lesser radioactivity in the luminous mixture in the hour markers, following the outlawing of radium use.
PROVENANCE: The watch belonged to the vendor's father and bears a name etched to the case back and was used extensively throughout an illustrious career as a Royal Navy Search & Rescue Diver. The original Oyster bracelet (dated to the 2nd quarter of 1964) is still present but was damaged during an underwater mission and replaced with another Rolex Oyster bracelet in around 1980. The watch still has it's original green leather box and import papers/documents from original purchase
