(Royal Family.) King Edward VII (1841-1910), signed albumen carte-de-visite by Alexander Bassano, 1871, signed "Albert Edward" to lower border by the then Prince of Wales and future King Edward VII, the photograph colour tinted, mounted and housed in contemporary decorative gilt leather frame (worn), the frame bearing the gilt presentation "From H.R.H. The Prince of Wales to J.C. Daniel, Esq.", the CdV approx size 9 x 5cm, frame approx size 21 x 16cm; together with Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn (1767-1820), 2 Autograph Letters Signed "Edward", to one Major Wilson/Lieutenant Colonel Wilson, Royal Scots, dated 10th October 1815, and March 3rd 1816, respectively, both headed Kensington Palace, [2]pp & [2¼]pp respectively, 1815 letter "My Dear Major! I have just received your favor of the 7th, containing your obliging communication of the letter you had received from the 'Parish', which certainly gives a fair offering[?] to follow up the warm disposition[?] [w-----] by the old gentleman, nothing that you can be more judicious than your suggestion of a visit to Weymouth, but unfortunately the [------] jealousy entertained in a certain high quarter, with respect to my visit to that member of my family, now resident there, and who is conceived to have a degree of confidence in me, preludes the possibility of my making the attempt...Sincerely hoping that this will find you in improved health, and heartily recovered from the effect of your wounds, I remain with every sentiment of the most friendly regard, and the finest esteem.
