JOHN LONG OF LONDON: A late 17th/early 18th Century silver pair cased pocket watch. The silver dial with pierced blued steel hands and Roman chapter ring signed Long, London. Chain fusee movement with tapered column and scroll pillars and verge escapement. Pierced balance cock, backplate signed John Long, London, highly pierced balance cock and bridges. Inside of case has a label stating 'Watch taken at the Battle of Falkirk', 5.4cm diameter
Scratch on glass between 9 and 10. Dial good condition. Movement clean. After a few turns on the fusee it is running.
