Margaret Tempest (1892-1992), a series of 15 original charcoal illustrations on one large continuous roll of paper, illustrations various sizes (approx 20 x 15cm - 50 x 30cm), illustrations include Little Grey Rabbit, Hare, Squirrel, hedgehog and other characters from the Little Grey Rabbit series of books written by Alison Uttley and illustrated by Margaret Tempest, the roll of paper approx. 650 x 52cm, together with 6 various reprint books from the Little Grey Rabbit series. Provenance by descent: the vendor's mother attended a Women's Institute meeting in Weybread, Suffolk c.1950's, at which Margaret Tempest came to do a talk. During the talk Margaret Tempest created the charcoal drawings, which were then raffled off that evening, the vendor's mother winning them in the raffle. (7)
