DBF 808c 1965 Lotus Elite 1216cc engine.
This Lotus Elite has been stripped down ready for restoration. It comes with its Coventry Climax engine, wire spoke wheels, boxes of spares, two sets of seats and a folder of ephemera and paperwork including a vehicle registration document and some receipts.
The fibreglass body has had some repairs already carried out.
Designed by Peter Kirwan-Taylor and Frank Costin, it is believed that 1,030 were built. The Coventry Climax along with the Elites fibreglass monocoque propelled the Lotus from 0-62mph in 11seconds and could reach speeds in excess of 100mph. It will be the buyers responsability to reregister the Lotus with the DVLA and cover any costs that are incurred.
