A Metropolitan Association For Befriending Young Servants sampler "MABYS Grosvenor Training Home, Georgine Glass, Aged 16". MABYS was founded in 1875 and was designed to ensure 'poor' girls stayed out of the path of temptation and to keep them in employment. If girls were sacked from their jobs they would have nowhere to go after they turned sixteen, MABYS provided shelter and the opportunity to retrain. Metropolitan Association for Befriending Young Servants Grosvenor Training Home was located on Chiswick Lane, Chiswick.
