Anna Kingsford (née Bonus, 1846-1888) was a prominent English Theosophist in the 1880's, best known as the co-author with Edward Maitland of The Perfect Way. She was one of the first women to become a physician in England; mystic and poet; feminist; and avid anti-vivisectionist and vegetarian. She was a prolific writer on the esoteric and the occult, with her long-time friend and collaborator Edward Maitland. (2)
