£250

A 48 Note Rissone/Todd hand-wound barrel piano, modified from automatic. Purchased by Canon A. O. Wintle and the East Anglian Automatic Piano Company, most likely in the 1920s. This originally automatic barrel piano was later converted into a manual barrel piano by Colin and Milly Williams, with new tunes marked onto the barrel by Alec Todd and the barrel re-pinned by Milly Williams.

In a typical black case with the original wide front to back base used to originally mount the motor. Featuring a part glass-front panel with simple incised decoration, and 'The property of the East Anglian Automatic Piano Co., Lowshall, Bury St Edmunds' label to the lid. The original motor of this piano has been removed but retained and the rest of the piano is all original apart from the winding handle and gear.
The piano is in reasonable working order, considering its original state when purchased by Milly and Colin Williams. Extensive repair work was carried out and, as the tunes on the barrel were unrecognisable when the piano was purchased, Milly and Colin selected new ones. The music was arranged and then marked on the barrel by Alec Todd, and re-pinned by Milly.
