A Victorian ladies travelling vanity case and jewellery box in rosewood with mother-of-pearl inlay, within the lid is a "secret" compartment for correspondence, behind lies a mirror. The box contains two glass cologne bottles and three silver topped jars and three lidded compartments one open and a ring rest. Underneath the front compartment is another and at the base there is a "secret" spring loaded necklace tray secured in place with a brass pin accessed from within
