LOCAL INTEREST: A WWI pair of medals named to 135190 GNR. F. ROSE R.A., together with box of issue and envelope named to MR F. ROSE, HIGH HOUSE, PALGRAVE, DISS. Together with a WWI Royal Artillery economy cap badge. PROVENANCE: Mr Rose lived at High House, Crossing Road, Palgrave and was a market gardener, growing beet for Mr C Coleman's cattle at Lime Tree Farm. His wife ran the village laundry assisted by Mrs Lock who lived in the thatched cottage near the pond on Crossing Road.
