(Antiquarian Bookselling, Book Industry), an album containing photographs, letters, cuttings and other assorted ephemera compiled by and relating to Robert Ridgill Trout (1878-1969), antiquarian bookseller, who also carried out regular work valuing the libraries of county houses and institutions, including several mounted photographs of the antiquarian bookshop at 118 Euston Road, London, circa 1930's; TLS from the publisher Allen Lane, 27th January 1930; bound in 8pp illustrated promotional booklet for the bookshop, 1923; group of four photographs of fine bindings; photos of interior of bookshop at 118 Euston Road including general view of interior, rare bookroom, fiction room with addressing machine for catalogues; specially designed magazine rack; newspaper cuttings, printed advertisements; original pen & ink advertisement drawing by Robert Ridgill Trout for the bookshop at 118 Euston Road "The Bookshop between Euston and St Pancras" and with printed example opposite; newspaper cuttings re attempted defraudment of Robert Ridgill Trout by a man posing as George Avila, purporting to represent the Earl of Selborne, with two ALS from the Earl of Selborne to Ridgill Trout thanking him; R. Ridgill Trout headed paper; TLS Alexander MacLehose to Trout, 9th March 1933; various other Typed Letters and printed material from publishing houses to Trout, including from Jonathan Cape, Bloomsbury Publishers, Hamish Hamilton, The Hogarth Press, R. Cobden Sanderson etc etc, other photos of window dressing at bookshop, "R.
