Edward Bawden (1903-1989) original linocut from Morte d'Arthur, signed and captioned by Bawden 'Sir Kay smote him so hard that the stroke clove the helm & head to the earth', number 7 of 50 copies only, approx 20cm x 26.5cm, framed and glazed, whole approx. size 40 x 46cm. Edward Bawden was commissioned by the Folio Society in 1981 to illustrate their 1982 edition of Malory's Morte d'Arthur and he produced limited edition prints of each.
