A WWII medal group of six consisting of 1939-45 star, Africa star, Italy star, France and Germany star, Defence and War medal. Court-mounted but not on brooch bar. Awarded to 2662980 L/CPL. ALFRED WILLIAM ARME of 4th Bn. Coldstream Guards, with his original Soldiers' Service Book; Release Class 'A' Book; Old Coldstreamers Association booklet; Farewell to Arms programme for Rotenburg Airfield, Germany 9 June 1945; Card hanger certificate for relatives; handmade Christmas card 1944 being amusing and mysterious on his location. Also five pages of service records and a copy of his death certificate (1994). It is believed that he wasn't entitled to the Africa or Italy stars as he entered active service in 1944 and wasn't in either area, so may have received them in error or bought them for himself
