A well built 7¼” 2-4-0 coal-fired T26 (later E4) class steam locomotive and tender No.495, finished in fully lined GER blue/black. Makers plate in red on cab sides and 495 number on tender and front buffer beam. Built in 2006 by Ian Holder of Aldeburgh, the boiler is by J.M Ellis of Brierley Hill West Midlands. Working pressure of 80psi, 1 3/4" bore cylinders and 3" stroke slide valves. Stevensons link motion. Footplate fittings include regulator, screw reverser, water sight glass, pressure and vacuum gauges, steam injector valves, locomotive steam brake and vacuum brakes. Two live steam injectors and a tender hand pump. Handbrake fitted to the tender along with a quantity of steam coal and water storage.
Most recent steam certificate was valid until 9.9.24, plus several past certificates, engineering booklets and photographs relating to when it was built.
