A George VI General Service Medal (GSM) with Palestine clasp awarded to 349137 SGT. HENRY (HERMANN HEINRICH) PFEIL RAF. Born 1897, New Cross London to German parents. Also served in WWI in London and Royal West Kent Regiments, serving in France, Salonica and Egypt. Joined RAF in 1921. An architect draughtsman in civilian life. Wireless Operator Mechanic in RAF, then later civilian accountant RAF Officers' Mess. Died in 1958, aged 61. With copy of death certificate and 2 pages of research summary about his life and background/family.
