(Arthur Henry Patterson, The Zoologist.) 'The Zoologist: A Monthly Journal of Natural History', edited W.L. Distant, a consecutive run of 17 volumes from 1897-1913, being the Fourth Series vols. 1-17, includes numerous articles and illustrations by Arthur Henry Patterson (1857-1935), “Notes from Yarmouth” and 1st publications of his books. In 1897 the editor of the Zoologist invited Patterson to submit annual reports on Norfolk Fishes. These together with his contributions on other forms of wildlife were featured in the journal until it ended in 1916. Many of the other volumes have references to Norfolk and Suffolk by various authors.
