Thirty one well executed early 19th Century sepia watercolours, mostly of Norwich and the surrounding area circa 1813, some initialled "J.B.C" and with manuscript pen & ink or pencil captions identifying places, mainly architectural views, including Elm Hill, Carrow Abbey, Coslany Bridge, Black Tower, Blackfriars Bridge, "Kett's Castle" [i.e. Kett's Heights], Fye Bridge, Whitefriars Bridge, Bishop Bridge, "Part of the Bishop's Palace", "Ruin in the Bishop's Garden", "Doorway in London Lane", Carrow Bridge, Lollards Pit, "Pump on Tombland", "Water Works on Chapel-Field, The Theatre [The First Theatre Royal], etc. Paper size approximately 32cm x 22cm, images various sizes, approx. 10 x 12cm - 15 x 18cm, one of the leaves of paper watermarked 1811.
