A circa 1900-1910 48 note hand wound barrel piano with cart and storage box, restored by Colin Williams. The simple wooden case with three inlaid frames to the top front panel. A worn but legible label for an 'E. T. Wood' to the lower front panel. On a burgundy painted cart that was not made for or purchased with the piano. This piano keeps its tune, suggesting that the wrest pins are well held. Whilst the label to the front of this piano reads 'E. T. WOOD, Piano Organ Factory, 44 Queensdale Road, Holland Park, W11, London', there are currently no records to be found for this name or establishment online. It was common practice for people to purchase pianos and put their own labels on them, so this piano may not necessarily have been made by Mr Wood; he could have just replaced the barrel, or even just owned it.

The barrel in this piano is most likely the original barrel upon which the first tunes were pinned. However, it is not known whether this was the first pinning with the original songs. The only way of checking this would be by stripping the paper back off the barrel and seeing if there are any previous pin marks that would have been filled in with glue.

After purchasing the piano Colin Williams carried out various woodwork repairers- most notably screwing the piano together with brass screws.
There is no tune sheet with this piano.
