Owen Jones (1809-1874): 'Examples of Chinese Ornament selected from objects in the South Kensington Museum and other collections', London, S. & T. Gilbert, 1867, a/f, sold as a series of plates only, 96 of 100 chromolithograph plates (lacks chromolithograph title + plates 13, 21 & 58), lacks the 15pp letterpress, plates housed loose between the original decorative red cloth gilt boards (very worn, lacks backstrip), folio (34.5 x 23.5cm); together with a series of disbound leaves/plates from 'The Grammar of Ornament', L, Bernard Quaritch, 1910, 35 chromolithograph plates only, some letterpress leaves. Jones's 'Examples of Chinese Ornament' is one of the great works of chromolithographic printing and oriental design
