An early 20th Century Strobel & Wilken bisque head acrobat automaton with turning arms and nodding head, the bisque head doll with blonde wig, fixed blue painted eyes, painted lips and brows, open mouth showing six upper teeth, impressed marks "SW Germany 290-9", painted wooden limbs, one arm winding clockwork mechanism, hands holding metal rings, with accompanying ebonised wooden stage raised on bun feet with red velvet curtains and tasselled fringes, shaped mahogany proscenium supported by two metal rods (proscenium a/f), doll approx. 33cm tall, overall height approx. 53cm
