Title page quite toned & browned, seems to have been some offsetting from something at some point (oblong shapes). Again to verso of title page some less pronounced toning/browning, and some spotting/foxing. The tipped in colour and b/w plates themselves all in very good condition, no issues, no creasing, no marks, no spotting etc. The leaves that plates are tipped onto, a little toned and small number with the very odd light mark or scuff here and there, but these all generally VGC on recto, see images. The verso of these card leaves that plates are tipped onto, mainly with some light or moderate foxing/spotting, some the verso with no foxing/spotting and just a little toned as rectos (see sample images of reverse of plate leaves).
The quarter green morocco book, green morocco spine faded, a couple of very light spots/light foxing to buckram front cover, else externally binding VGC, clean and tight, sound. Internally no prev. owner names or markings, no spotting/foxing, leaves clean/VGC.
Inside of solander box, a bit of foxing/spotting, mainly to buckram of area surrounding the recess that the book sits in/slides into. Externally buckram with some spotting/foxing, some toning/grubbiness and marks in places. Green morocco elements rubbed & worn & a little faded in places. Please also see all extra images which hopefully illustrate the above and give clear idea of condition.
