A circa 1890-1910 Pasquale / Wintle 48 note hand-wound automatic barrel piano. Restored by A. O. Wintle and his East Anglian Automatic Piano Company, and marked up either by Wintle or Alec Todd, Wintle's right-hand man.

A simple case repainted black with new gold paint for line work and new fabric to the bottom, also a part-mirror front panel, with a landscape painting to the centre. An A. O. Wintle label to the lid and stamp to the barrel, and a new tune sheet written by Colin Williams to the side of the case.

This piano was one of the earliest purchases for Milly and Colin Williams's collection, bought in 1984 from an auction house in Bury St. Edmunds. Whilst there are no records stating whether this piano was originally built as an automatic, it is suspected that it was, and it was most likely converted to a manual by A. O. Wintle.
