ATTRIBUTED TO DAVID GILMOUR OF PINK FLOYD: A Maestro Echoplex tape delay unit with transformer from 110v to 240v due to American origin. This unit was the benchmark for other delays, designed by Mike Battle in 1959 and introduced in 1961. It is known for its warm, thick, and round echo, and was used by many influential artists, including Andy Summers of the Police, Eric Johnson, Eddie Van Halen, and East Bay Ray of the Dead Kennedys. STATEMENT OF PROVENANCE FROM THE VENDOR: 'This unit was given by Dave Gilmour to Clive Welham in the 1970's when Clive and I started a band called Solitaire in Cambridge and was used on the PA system for several years.
