A collection of 32 assorted titles sporting, countryside, wilfowling etc., including James Wentworth Day, 10 titles, of which 4 signed & inscribed by him, two of those with further ALS by him to John Humphreys loosely inserted, Ian Niall, Henry Williamson, Alan Savory, Richard Jefferies, Nigel & Corona Thornycroft, including 'Fowler's Moon', 1955, 1st edition, original cloth gilt, dust wrapper, 'Nigel & Corona. A Family Story of Adventure, Sport, Wilderness and War from England to Africa', signed by the author David Thornycroft and with ALS by him to John Humphreys (1939-2012) loosely inserted, oblong 4to, orig. boards (32).

From the estate of John Humphreys (1939-2012), distinguished sporting and countryside author who wrote for Shooting Times for more than 40 years – for much of that time contributing the weekly ‘Country Gun’ column. He was a much loved character of the shooting community who dedicated his life to the promotion of shooting, fishing and the countryside.
